Dr. Sang Bae, born and raised in Korea, has been residing in Edmonds, WA since 1997. In 2003, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from the University of Washington before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2008.
During her years as a dental student, Dr. Bae received numerous awards and recognition for her scholastic and clinical achievements. To name but a few, she was singled out for scholarships from Omicron Kappa Upsilon, U.W. Dental Alumni Association, American College of Dentists, American Academy of Gold Foil Operators, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry. She was awarded the Oates Scholarship for Clinical Excellence and, in her senior year, was awarded the John Kois Prize for Restorative Clinical Excellence.
Dr. Bae led her class scholastically all four years of dental school, cumulating in her valedictorian award. She continues to attend dental education courses to increase her knowledge and improve her skills to best serve her patients. She currently serves on the Washington Academy of General Dentistry's Continuing Education Committee.
After graduation, Dr. Bae has been working part time in private practice while serving as an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. In 2009, she received the Outstanding Instructor Award in Restorative Dentistry from the U.W. School of Dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Bae enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
